LEADERWISE LEARNING HOUR

Thriving as a Highly Sensitive Clergyperson

From "Too Sensitive" to Embracing Your Insight and Empathy with Laura Horton-Ludwig

If you’re highly sensitive, your gifts of empathy, intuition, and creativity are incredibly powerful tools for ministry. But ministry can also take a real toll on you, with its constant, varied demands, conflicts, and emergencies. And because of your high sensitivity, a lot of the standard training and advice about ministry may not work for you. In this 60-minute session, you'll gain clarity on the gifts and challenges of being a highly sensitive clergyperson, plus ideas and resources for how to make changes in your habitual practices of ministry so you can thrive more fully.

Laura Horton-Ludwig

About Laura: After nearly 20 years serving as minister for Unitarian Universalist congregations from Illinois to California to Virginia, today Laura has a private practice at laurahortonludwig.com offering spiritual direction, coaching, and shamanic work for sensitive souls ready to reclaim their power, sparkle, and joy. She lives in Williamsburg, VA, with her husband and their dog and cat, as well as the many trees and wild creatures who share the land with them. This year, she is also serving the UU Fellowship of Santa Cruz County, CA, in an experimental mostly-remote ministry.
