Ju-Ping Huang is a licensed psychologist, who received her doctorate and masters in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota. Ju-Ping has experience providing therapy and evaluations to clients from diverse backgrounds in various settings, including community mental health agencies, college counseling centers, hospitals, and private practice. Some of her areas of special interest include multicultural issues, spirituality, career development, trauma, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety.

Ju-Ping provides counseling for adults and adolescents and has helped clients with various issues including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, traumas, ADHD, chronic pain, health issues, addiction, and adjustment issues. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and can offer DBT informed individual counseling.

Ju-Ping works with her clients collaboratively and non-judgmentally, beginning from identifying their strengths and areas of struggles. Then, she explores how their background, upbringing, experiences and education might be related to their current struggles. From there, they collaboratively identify skills needed for effective leadership and generate concrete action steps to resolve encountered difficulties. Along the way, she might also identify mentoring, therapy, or further training/education if needed.

Her previous experience includes: community counseling, college counseling, training on counseling (individual, couples, and group) and assessment (psychological testing, cognitive assessment, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder assessment, career assessment, court-ordered evaluations, and pre-surgical evaluations). Currently: In addition to her work at Leaderwise, she is am also a contracted psychologist at Healthwise Behavioral Health & Wellness.

In her spare time, Ju-Ping enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga and mindfulness, cooking, camping, and hiking. She is also an animal lover and has a corgi and a cat.
